About Stan

BACKGROUND

Hyt graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration. He began his law enforcement career in 1978 as a police officer with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) and served over 30 years in this department. He was promoted to the position of Police Sergeant in 1991. Hyt is first and foremost a Christian man whose faith governs his integrity, behavior and ethics. He’s been happily married to his wife, Danette, for the past 21 years and is a devoted father.

Hyt comfortably retired from the police department in 2008 but like many, has grown frustrated with the current state of affairs. He’s decided to run for Sheriff to stand up for and protect his family’s and fellow citizens’ constitutional rights.

Election Integrity

As your Governor, I will do everything in my power to secure and protect the integrity of our elections.

Election experts are virtually unanimous in their conviction that these machines have NEVER been fully reliable and harbor flaws that can be exploited. There is NO justification for continuing to use them.

Furthermore, the machine source code holds critical verification data, but they won’t release it to be audited. If we can’t audit the machine source code to ensure proper verification is happening, they cannot be trusted. Without the machines, hand-count paper ballots with signature verification are the only way to ensure votes are legitimate.

That’s why I’m calling for the Secretary of State to require a hand-count paper ballot election.

ELECTION INTEGRITY

Laxalt has been a leading voice against the last-minute changes codified into law by the Nevada Legislature in 2020, less than three months before the 2020 General Election. As Senator, Adam will be a fierce advocate for reforms including voter ID and opposition to universal mail out voting, ballot harvesting and ballot drop boxes.

He would oppose any further Democrat attempts to pass HR1 and make elections less secure.

ECONOMY

The misguided policies of President Joe Biden and Senator Catherine Cortez-Masto have left Nevada families at or near the bottom in nearly every statistical area. As Senator, Adam will work quickly to restore fiscal sanity by stopping the spending spree that has led to record-breaking inflation. The price of groceries, gas and everyday household goods amount to a massive tax increase on Nevadans that makes life at the lower-income end unworkable—the ends just don’t meet anymore.
