UNIVERSAL SCHOOL CHOICE

We need to dissect the school budget to understand where the money is being spent. The Milwaukee School District is one of the worst school districts in the nation, even though they have one of the largest education budgets in the country. There are several ways to prevent poverty. One is through education. Urban schools throughout the country, including Milwaukee Public Schools, have failed our students for decades. Many students are graduating without being literate in reading and math. I support School Choice and School Voucher programs. In many urban districts, these programs have proven to be the best option to let students reach their full potential. We must not let school districts spend excessive amounts of money on educational methods that have been proven to fail urban communities. We must not let any more of our children graduate without the basic reading and math skills that School Choice schools consistently provide.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM

The current criminal justice system does not work for our district and is failing our nation. We need a criminal justice system that punishes actual criminals, while protecting families, especially in urban areas. I support harsh punishment for violent criminals and those who disregard public safety and our nation’s future. While I support strict sentences for extreme crimes, I also believe that once a citizen has served their time, their rights need to be immediately and fully restored. Once a sentence is complete, in order to properly reintegrate into society, rights need to be automatically reinstated. We need to transform the justice system and restore faith in an institution that was initially designed to protect us, not harm us.

CLEAN WATER

One of my first priorities is to declare a clean water emergency for the areas of our country that need it the most. Milwaukee is on a long list of cities across our country that have crumbling infrastructure. Water is an essential key nutrient for the human body. This crisis is jeopardizing our access to clean water and posing a substantial risk to our health and the health of our families. Politicians have talked about this issue for years, while our infrastructure continues to crumble. We have the technology to easily replace pipes that risk our children's health and future. We need to act now to prevent this crisis from worsening. Our government has failed to fix the problem, and I intend to take action.

LOWERING TAXES

As families struggle to pay their grocery bills, rent, gas, etc., Democrats continue to steepen and multiply taxes. We need less government spending. I, Tim Rogers, want to let taxpayers keep more of their money. You’ve earned it, and I want you to keep it. The government has not earned the right to spend so much of your hard-earned money. The current status quo promotes spending outside the limits of the Constitution. It is unconstitutional to spend money on public schools. If elected, I will work to destroy the progressive tax system. Interstate Commerce enforcement should not be conducted inside of state boundaries, only when commerce actually moves between states. We need to let government agencies and programs decrease in size via attrition with retirements.

About Tim

Milwaukee is where I was born and raised, where I work, and have a family. I am proud to live in the 4th District. In recent years, my fellow citizens and I have seen critical components of our community start to decay. I have witnessed a deteriorating education system, where test scores and graduation rates have declined. I have seen a criminal justice system lacking transparency leading to unfair outcomes. I have seen the issue of aging lead laterals be ignored, risking the health of families across the district. I have seen taxation without proper representation. I will stand up for the people of the district and give them the representation that has been lacking for far too long. I will restore the quality of life in the neighborhoods and always remember who I represent while in Washington.

Tim's Story

I graduated from North Division High School in 1978 and went on to study at UW-Parkside and MATC. My Education helped lay the foundation for the rest of my life. Without a good education, I would not have had the basic skills to  pursue employment and provide for my family.

Like many of the citizens of the 4th District, I felt that the criminal justice system did not provide a just outcome. I believe it is important for all citizens to be able to have faith in the systems that were intended to protect us. I want to change the justice system into a system that protects all people equally, instead of one that distributes justice unevenly.

My father and uncle owned Rogers and Rogers Soul Brothers Supermarket, a grocery store in Milwaukee, where I learned the value of hard work and what businesses mean to the community. Having many small businesses in the community helps build and nourish the neighborhood. These days, I see urban areas across the country struggling with poor quality drinking water. We can no longer afford to just talk about this issue, we need action now to end this crisis. Tim Rogers is the kind of congressmen we need in Washington.

I am running for political office not to complain about the situation, but to get involved and make the changes needed. Running for political office is not how I normally spend my free time. I have worked for almost 30 years delivering gift baskets and newspapers for two local businesses. Outside of work, I spend my time volunteering in my community and participating in the All Saints Catholic Choir and MPS Alumni Choir.

Tim Rogers Rights Back Bill

This bill will help integrate into society all ex-felons off paper who lost their rights. You will automatically get your rights back after you serve your full sentence. That would include the constitutional rights to bear arms, go hunting. Rights to run for local and state office. And in some states, your Right to Vote.

Tim Rogers is working with state officials to pass this bill in Wisconsin.

New Republican with New Ideas, Ready to Lead the Charge for the People

Tim Rogers wants to eliminate Property Taxes across the country. This will impact all American citizens in a positive way. This is why I want to go to Congress, to fight for the People.

I also want to eliminate the 16th Amendment, Income Tax. We the People have been over taxed in this country. It is time that we stand up for our Rights as Americans.

If you like these ideas, Vote Tim Rogers for Congress. If you have any questions, reach out and we can explain the impact that this will have.
